Write a Resume

Making a good first impression is critical for a successful job search, and your resume needs to do that for you.  

  1. Start a master resume, where you list all of the accomplishments, experiences, skills you are learning, and course projects, throughout your CSU journey.  Start with the basic resume format below. 
  2. Create a job-specific resume by drawing from the master resume and following industry practices. 
  3. Make an appointment with a career coach to get started on your master resume or polish your job-specific resume.
